The one thing that has saved me so many times and everyone should carry this to save themselves !

Disclaimer : Few boring stuff before ride kicks off…

Here I am writing my first official blog . Although i had planned for it long before but not sure about stuff that I should write. Today all stings of my brain forced me to write. So my special dedication goes to — boredom at office and my brain’s superb and continuous contribution to give birth to tumor of negative thoughts.

For me book is nothing less than a portable magic , my stress controller that I carry all the time in case of emergencies. I always loved reading ,the only difference is -this constant love has being kept growing from textbooks to articles, articles to blogs and got finally landed to novels !!

First times I had meeting with this therapist (book) — when I was in school . For all those occasions when someone teased me for being fat , bullied me , when I got taste of favoritism over merit , on all those times when to perform well in exams — to maintain the title “ to stand first every time in class” turns over my head…. I rushed towards my textbooks …. my only box of piece and every time it successfully saved me.

Second meetings also came soon without any prior notice and venue was my college. Being introvert when you got surrounded by people that were so out spoken , all teenage excitement , all carrying new impatient urge to engage or better word would be “SOCIAL” …. where you were ?….being an introvert looking for the corners to keep in mind you won’t get noticed. And every time when my self esteem dropped down — again goes the same call … run !! take a book , study something that will give yourself some kind of peace.

Third get together occurred when I was going through interviews to take a switch to other company. One of the most draining process ,all day long interviews. But even after so many selection , luck played his role and I was not getting any offer letter. I was doing all that I could control but nothings worked. At that time one thing that kept me going was books.

Tried and tested fact-

“Phele istemal kare, phir vishwas kare and phir recommend kare !!”

( An Indian advertisement line but a bit twisted— use before trust and then only recommend )

I had a face off with this fact !! In one of the most panic situations of my life , where my head just about to burst …I picked up the only book that I had and that had actually saved me. I had no idea what’s going on in the story … where I last left ….I just picked it up and started reading. After few minutes I just suddenly realized that I was feeling far better and a self realization came— wait !! you are going to survive !

That worst situation had gifted me “my only weapon to survival !! my only ticket to fly away to glory of escape !!”

Again I am going through some tough changes and I know meeting invite with my therapist is going to pop up soon!!
