NASA released the List of Cosmic Targets for the Webb Telescope First Images

NASA released the list of cosmic targets for JWST's first images. The list includes nebulas, galaxies, and exoplanets.

Webb Telescope will focus on Carina Nebula and Southern Ring Nebula. Carina Nebula is the largest and brightest nebula in the sky and is home to stars larger than the sun.

Southern Ring Nebula is a planetary nebula. Planetary Nebula is an object created during the final stages of the life of stars. It has nothing to do with planets but they contain the information about the chemical composition that was present when the star formed and new atoms and molecules formed through nuclear fusion. [2]

A WASP-96 b is a giant planet outside the solar system. The exoplanet is cloudless with a sodium-rich atmosphere. It is 0.48 times the mass of Jupiter and takes 3.4 days to orbit around its parent stars.
