Second post.

I think being in a mild state of depression is one of the only things that turns me back to Allah, which is why I find myself in this state whenever I stray from him for too long. All the introspection I do whenever I’m feeling low, puts me in a dark place, but it’s the fastest way I begin praying again- for peace and clarity. It pulls me back on the path. So I’m grateful for this temporary state of sadness that I’m currently feeling, Alhamdulilah. I’m grateful to have this ability to introspect, even if it may lead to devastating realizations. I find comfort in knowing that Allah does not burden a soul with beyond that it can bear (Qur’an, 2:286).
